Hello everyone and welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! We are so glad that you are here. Although this year may look different from years past, we will navigate this unusual time together.
We have started the school year with local local local. We have been using local tomatoes, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, peaches, apples and cabbage. We will continue with these whenever possible.
We have many great items to start school with. Tomatoes are great, don’t forget cantaloupe and honeydew. Peaches and plums are get them while you can, it is that time of year. Local apples have started and the best ones so far are gold and gala. Kiwi is always a great staple. All colors of grapes and excellent quality. Try mixing those color for added variety. Scuppernongs are a local favorite but remember the seeds. Jr bananas are now available again in the 150 count. A regular banana will have approx 90 per case.
Don’t forget with the changing times and requirements that we have TONS of variety on pre pack items. Both the fruits and veggies are avail and waiting for you.
On the bad side of the spectrum it is VERY hot in California. What this means to us all is lettuce and romaine products coming in not looking their greatest. We are and will continue our best to secure you a great product with optimum shelf life. This should pass quickly but we just want to make our customers aware of the issue across the board from any vendor.
